Adolescent Girls Program
The Adolescent Girls Program at the National Woman Healthcare Center focuses on supporting girls aged 10 to 19 years by providing a safe and empowering environment that promotes their physical and mental well-being.
The program aims to raise health awareness, enable girls to make informed health decisions, and prevent issues related to poor nutrition or early reproductive health risks.
Currently implemented at the Tafilah branch, the program includes a variety of activities, such as:
Awareness sessions on general, mental, and reproductive health
Regular medical checkups
One-on-one psychological support sessions as needed
Life skills workshops, including self-confidence and effective communication
Special care packages for adolescent girls
Community campaigns to encourage family and community involvement in supporting girls
Distribution of personal hygiene kits containing menstrual and self-care supplies, accompanied by educational sessions on physical changes and personal hygiene, led by trained health educators
At the National Woman Healthcare Center, we believe that empowering adolescent girls today is an investment in the health and awareness of future generations.
